Buy at auction

Note that in the following a distinction is made between physical and online auctions.

Physical auctions:

In order to bid at our physical auctions, you must have a bidder number. As we need security for the bids, we will register everyone who wants to bid. This is done via the website or in the entrance on auction day, where valid ID must be presented. To place absentee bids you must first register online. This is done via the online catalogue on our website. Read more about absentee bids in the section below.

During the auction the auctioneer controls the bidding. He says what the next bid will cost, and decides when to be bring down the hammer to close the bidding. When the hammer falls, the lot is sold and it is too late to make any further bids.

All bids are without VAT, purchase fee and declaration charge, which will be charged to your invoice afterwards. Our fees and charges are specified in par. 11 of the auction conditions, which you can find in the top menu. For special auctions there may be special fees, which will be clearly indicated in the catalogue for the auction.

Re. Pre-bids for physical auctions:

For most of our auctions, it is possible to pre-bid online or via e-mail. Before you can bid, you must set up an account with your contact information. All bids made online are pre-bids, which means that the bids are taken into the physical auction. Here, the auctioneer will bid on your behalf against bidders sitting in the House. It is always the bidder in the room who wins if the bid is the same as pre-bidder's bid. For example: If there is a bid for 1000 - as a pre-bid, and 1000 is bid in the room, it is always the bidder in the room who wins.

Note that the bid you place online functions as your maximum bid: For example, if there is a bid of 2,500 in the room and you have pre-bid 3,000, the auctioneer will look after your interests and sell the item to you for 2600 - or 2700, - (depending on the bid increments).

We only contact pre-bidders who have won. If you do not hear from us, it means that you have not won. The buyer must personally collect the items or arrange for a courier. Delivery dates for each auction are listed in the auction catalogue and on this website.

All purchases must be paid by bank transfer within 24 hours or when you come to pick up the items.

Online auctions:

Updated 3/9-2015: The bids you place on our Online auctions act as a maximum bid. The auction page will automatically bid for you up to the amount you specify.

We will contact winning bidders the day after the auction is over. The buyer must personally collect the items or arrange for a courier. Delivery dates for each auction are listed in the auction catalogue and on this website.

All purchases must be paid by bank transfer within 24 hours.

Upon completion of Online auctions:

Our Online auctions typically close for bidding at 20.00 for first catalogue number. After this the catalogue numbers close with an interval of 10 to 30 seconds. Bids at the last minute extend the bidding time by 1-2 minutes.
Winning bidders will be contacted and receive an e-mail with the invoice the day after the auction ends.

In all other respects our auction terms apply, which you approve before you can begin to bid.

Re. e-mails for outbidding:

As a service the auction system can send e-mails when your bid is outbid. In the last minutes of the auction, when there are a lot of bids, these e-mails can get stuck in the system because it is so busy. We therefore recommend that you always follow the last part of the auction online, so you have time to react if you are outbid.

Good advice:

You should always read the information box (see photo) before you bid and you should be thoroughly familiar with WHERE things should be collected and WHEN things should be collected. We are not open outside normal working hours. 

Information

Collection of items:

Campen Auktioner A/S does not store bought items, and all purchases must be collected in the period in which we have extradition. We disclaim any responsibility if the goods are not picked up on time. Campen Auktioner A/S does not send goods out. This also applies to items purchased with pre-bids. The buyer must personally collect the items or arrange for a courier. Delivery dates for each auction are listed in the auction catalogue and on this website.

If a purchased item is not picked up within the pick-up time, we add on warehouse rent per pallet of DKK 50 per started week. (Larger items such as vehicles or caravans costs DKK 250 per started week.) Later pickup must be agreed in writing via mail@campenauktioner.dk.

There may be additional payments required for handling the goods. Unclaimed items taken to the landfill site will be thrown out at the buyer's expense.

NB: If a written agreement has not been made within four weeks of the end of the auction, ownership of the purchased item lapses. Campen Auktioner A/S may choose to sell the product privately or at a new auction without the buyer receiving any profits, see. auction conditions par. 17.
